Sunish Rai Uppal is a University of Toronto graduate who earned his LL.B (Hons) in London, England at City University London (Inns of Court School of Law). He articled for a boutique Toronto law firm and throughout his experience, realized that his passion lay in helping people on a more personal and intimate level.

Sunish initially founded UL Lawyers Professional Corporation as a law firm from his home with its prime focus in injury and disability law assisting clients with Motor Vehicle accident, Long-Term Disability, CPP Disability, Slip and Fall and Wrongful Dismissal Claims.

UL Lawyers is driven by its mission to serve each client based on their individual needs and to achieve results through vigorous advocacy and empathetic understanding. UL Lawyers has represented clients who have suffered from serious and permanent injuries including psychological disorders, chronic pain and fatigue, heart conditions, torn ligaments, fractures, fibromyalgia, slipped discs, nerve damage, brain injury and catastrophic claims.

Sunish vigorously advocates for his clients and works to help restore their lives with dignity and compassion. He has appeared before the License Appeal Tribunal, the Superior Court of Justice, the Social Security Tribunal and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Sunish takes exceptional pride in leading a firm with the ability to represent and provide access to justice to clients of various ethnic communities. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.

Sunish is an avid traveler, part-time yogi, and a part-time philanthropist. In 2022, he was nominated as one of Canadian Lawyer Magazine’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers.

Sunish runs a non-profit by the name of ‘Seva Supply’ (Seva in Sanskrit means ‘selfless service’), which is in the process of being registered as a charity in Canada. Since the summer of 2021,his main work constitutes, providing 1500 free meals on a weekly basis to the underprivileged in India outside a government hospital, sponsoring the education and living expenses of 21 underprivileged children on an annual basis through the Isha Foundation, sponsoring disabled children and youth through a Canadian charity by the name of Handi-Care International.

In April 2023, in light of rising homelessness in the GTA, Sunish commenced working on a new project of arranging free meals for homeless shelters in the GTA. On a monthly basisa minimum of 100 meals are donated to homeless shelters. The eventual goal is to take this to 1000 meals per month, with the help of the community.
